History
First Baptist School was established in 1970 as a ministry of First Baptist Church. The vision of our school is to meet each student’s physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual needs.

First Baptist School, a model of Christian and academic excellence, will provide a challenging creative curriculum based on Biblical truths. Christian education goes beyond physical, intellectual and emotional development to encourage spiritual growth of students and families that leads to a lifetime walk with Christ.

The mission of First Baptist School is:
Every child is challenged to achieve their academic excellence and their spiritual awareness through the opportunity to know Jesus Christ our Lord. All First Baptist School Staff are vital team members in developing the whole child. All First Baptist School Team Members are encouraged to continually grow as a Christian role model through: a devotional life, a prayer life, and an active member in their local church. First Baptist School is an advocate of the family. Families are the center of faith development for their child. First Baptist School partners with families in the child's faith and intellectual development.

Educational Philosophy
The educational philosophy of First Baptist School is based on the GOD-centered view that the foundation of all Truth is the Word of GOD, and that the Bible is the inspired and authoritative Word of God which reflects this truth. God created all things and sustains all things. The purpose of man is to glorify God. First Baptist School believes that Christian education includes the physical, intellectual and emotional development of a child by teaching Bible truths in a manner which will encourage home involvement. The desire is that each student and family will experience a lifetime walk with Christ.
